The Minga Coffee Project: Progress in Action

Earlier this year, we introduced the Minga Coffee Project, a new initiative in Ecuador’s Amazon region designed to support farmers through training, post-harvest education, and hands-on learning.

Today, the demonstration processing facility and lab are complete, creating a dedicated space where farmers can learn best practices in coffee production and quality.

With the facility now ready, the next step is welcoming farmers into the space for hands-on training, with a goal of supporting 15 farmers through the program.

Esther Koskei is a leader at the Kabngetuny Farmer’s Cooperative Society in Kenya, where women own the land and the coffee seedlings they cultivate, enabling them to secure their financial independence and their futures.

Andrea Lopez, the co-founder of Witoca, is dedicated to bringing Ecuadorian coffee to the world while uplifting local women and coffee farmers. Andrea’s mission is to boost the knowledge and confidence of women in farming and entrepreneurship.
