At &BACK COFFEE, empowering women coffee farmers and their small businesses is at the heart of everything we do. We are proudly women owned and women grown and we are dedicated to empowering women coffee farmers in communities across the coffee belt.
2026 is the United Nation's International Year of the Woman Farmer, a global movement to recognize the essential roles that women play across agrifood systems, from production to trade, roles that too often go unrecognized.
International Women’s Month is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the women who sustain coffee-growing communities around the world.
Women have long contributed to every stage of coffee production, from farming and processing to trading and leadership.
Yet their contributions have not always received the recognition they deserve.
Closing this gap is not just about equity. It strengthens food security, economic resilience, and the sustainability of global supply chains.
Organizations like Aldea Global are helping change that by supporting women’s leadership, strengthening access to resources, and even helping formalize land ownership in women’s names.

Magdalena Cruz’s story reflects the determination and resilience of many women in coffee.
A farmer from Las Mercedes, Nicaragua, Magdalena now cultivates her own land while raising her daughter and building a future through coffee.

&BACK COFFEE is proud to support the work of Aldea Global, whose programs help strengthen opportunities and recognition for women in coffee-growing communities.
Happy International Women’s Month!
